Liz H I downloaded some free eBooks from Standard Books. They are in the AZW3 format. How can I get these to the kindle app on my PC or phone? The site has instructions for getting them to a kindle device, but i do not have one and probably won't be buying one.

I have the options of downloading an epub file, reading it online, or running the file through to convert it to a mobi file period of course then I would still have to get the mobi file to my PC reader. I don't think the send to kindle function still works.

CBRetriever | 486 comments the Send to Kindle methods still work

Send to Kindle email = correct author name and uses file name as title like this: pg62495 if the file is named pg62495.epub
https://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindl...
Send to Kindle app = uses your name as author if you don't fill it in and file name as/above
https://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindl...
or
https://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindl...
Send to Kindle website link = correct author name and uses file name as/above
https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle

and some methods will work for azw format (mightbwork for azw3?):

Liz H Thank you! I downloaded the Send to Kindle app. I tried sending the AZ W3 files with it and they were rejected by the app. When I adjusted the file ending, they went through just fine. Fortunately the website includes the cover jpgs as well which also went through just fine. So thanks again I do appreciate it.

EDIT - I edited the file name to remove the 3 from the file type, leaving it as AZW. It then showed in my directory as the file name without any file type attached to the file name. When I switched to the detailed view in my file directory, the column for file type now listed it as kindle content instead of AZW3.
