Jen K | 3143 comments A satisfying end to the trilogy. The book and action starts off immediately jumping right in where the previous book stopped. Osaron, an evil incarnation of black magic, is no longer satisfied with White London and Holland. He lures an emotional Kell to White London and somehow manages to get to Red London in the midst of the final ball for the magic competition which leads to fun political intrigue. Basically it goes into all hands at deck to fight against Osaron and prevent Red London to also die and turn black. New alliances are formed, new enemies made and a deeper look at what experiences formed the characters.

I really enjoyed the characters in this trilogy and loved getting more perspectives in this one. The world building is fantastic and it was truly action packed without being too ridiculous. The ending wasn't exactly my favorite, with some issues left open but it worked.

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12568 comments I really liked this trilogy too a lot of peole were not happy with the last book, but I thought it wrapped up everything nicely. It did take me a while to push through the beginning, but it finished nicely.

Did you know that she has a new book out in the same world? The Fragile Threads of Power

Jen K | 3143 comments It was kind of an odd end after all that went on in the book and trilogy but I'm satisfied enough and wouldn't be surprised if it is revived in some way.

I did see she has a new one out! I added to my hold list at the library without actually looking at the description which I have just done now.... I guess it was fairly obvious that there would be more. I'm in for it!
