Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson take on the case of a family legend featuring a bloodthirsty, enormous hound that stalks the moors near the Baskerville mansion. Sir Charles Baskerville has already succumbed to the hound, although his age and heart disease seem to have caused his death from fright rather than an attack by the dog. Now Henry Baskerville has inherited the homestead and wants the mystery of the hound solved before anyone else should become its next victim. Watson moves to the mansion with Henry for protection while Sherlock investigates behind the scenes. Secretive staff, questionable neighbors and the gloomy moor itself work to thwart their efforts to end the Baskerville curse.

This is quite well-plotted and full of creepy atmosphere. Sherlock is brilliant, isn't he? Doyle had such an inventive mind.
