Benjamin Kuttner | 19 comments I just kindled (is that a word?) The Jefferson Allegiance ebook and am about a quarter through it. It was a little slow in the beginning, but wow has it sped up. Mayer writes like Lee Child crossed with Dan Brown; very fast paced and with great detail on American history that I never knew about. Are his other books as good?

Lance Charnes (lcharnes) | 226 comments I read Agnes and the Hitman, which he co-wrote with Jennifer Crusie. It's probably not one of his typical works (she's a romance writer), but it was fun enough for me to give it four stars. You can read my review if you're interested.

Benjamin Kuttner | 19 comments Thanks Lance, that's a pretty crazy pairing between Crusie and Mayer. I looked at the reviews (and yours) and it's either 1 star or 5 stars not much between. So you either love it or hate it. I'll have a look at this one for sure.

Dave Edlund (dedlund) Read Operation Synbat, one of his earlier novels. I really enjoyed it.

I read that & really liked it, too. I went on to read a couple more they collaborated on (Don't Look Down & Wild Ride) but didn't care for them as much, but they were still fun. I read one she did with another gal & didn't care for it at all. Too much romance. I don't think I've read anything just by him.
