Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) This book was recommended to me a few years ago by a teacher. I could also say it was recommended by my mom since she recommends any and everything written by Saramago!

The original title in portuguese is As Intermitências da Morte, I'm reading it in its original language.

In this book, Death stops "working" and nobody dies. I'm at page 33/214 and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) I finished this one today. The book portrays a country where people stop dying. Which seems great but it really isn't.

I really don't know what to say except that it's a great book and I highly recommend it particularly if you like dystopias and/or smart and sarcastic criticism towards a huge amount of subjects (specially religion and politics).
