This is the discussion thread for our non-fiction BotM which includes both the biblical book of Isaiah and Mere Christianity, by CS Lewis.

(Please be clear in your post whether you are referring to Isaiah or Mere Christianity.😊)

Let us know your thoughts and questions as you read. Perhaps we can encourage each other with insights the Lord reveals to us and help each other grasp concepts we might have missed if we were reading on our own.

I didn't realize we were doing Isaiah for the Bible BOTM, and I just happened to start rereading it! :D

I'm definitely going to read Isaiah this month, and we'll see if I can get to Mere Christianity...Mere Christianity is such a great read!

😭 In the past month and almost a half, I have only read the first few chapters of Isaiah. And I don't remember what they're about.

To your first post: Yes, that sounds like the new heavens and the new earth!

To your second: I'm not sure- I would feel more comfortable taking a guess if I knew the context...

I just read mere Christianity! I thought it was amazing!! C.S. Lewis is such a talented writer TwT

So I wasn’t planning on reading the book because I have so many nonfictions for school and so many more I want to read but then I read Mere Christianity for school and I noticed that it was the book you choose so I just thought I’d mention that I read it and absolutely LOVED it it’s one of my new favourite non fictions now and I don’t know what I was expecting but it was so so much better then I thought it would be!
(Lol sorry this got so long I just had to mention it)

Im homeschooled! But the curriculum I use Is a Christian one and I have had a few of his books

I read Mere Christianity in the summer and I rly liked it (I mean, CS Lewis is a literary genius!)
It has been forever since I read Isaiah lol

i love Isaiah! it's my fav book of the Bible

I do not know where to write stuff because I am new but I would like to recommend Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus

Hi! I don’t think December botm nominations are out yet but I’ll lyk when they are

I’ve read Seeking Allah Finding Jesus and it was soooo good. I just found this so I’m a bit behind on these reads (Isaiah and Mere Christianity). I’ll be more on top of it in December!
