Hello. I'm looking for the name of a Halloween book that I read as a child (1970's). It was about a girl (or possibly a boy) that closed her bedroom closet every night to keep a witch (or witches) out of her bedroom. Unfortunately, she forgets to close it Halloween night, and the witch eats all her Trick or Treat candy. Because of this book, I always close my closet door before going to bed (LOL). I would really like to read the book again, but I can't remember the name. Thanks.

While that book sounds like it would totally terrify my little ones... I may use that excuse after I [ehem] sample their Halloween candy on them this year. 🤣

Oh it does sound like something I would have read but I didn't come across it in the box of saved books downstairs. I'll look on the library shelf next visit and see if it's one they have.
