Chief Marcella Weber’s relationship with Tracy is now frosty at best. She assigns Tracy to work on the Route 99 serial cases which Johnny Nolasco investigated during the killing spree from 1993 - 1995. Nolasco headed the task force and his failure to find the killer derailed his career. When Tracy asks for help from the Homicide team, specifically Faz, Weber assigns Nolasco. Was she trying to stick it to Tracy, Nolasco or both of them? Or, was it the right thing to do from a protocol perspective?

MarilynW (huecotx) | 3 comments I think she is trying to stick it to both of them but especially Tracy and using Nolasco against Tracy is just the icing on the cake. The right thing to do would be to let Faz help Tracy but Weber doesn't really want to crime solved.

I’m with you, Marilyn. She doesn’t expect them to solve the case but positioned them to fail, hiding behind supposed protocol. Weber is well aware of the friction between these two.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments She was trying to stick it to both Tracy and Nolasco. She wants Tracy to get fed up with all of the B.S. Weber keeps throwing at her and quit. She knows that these two have a history and do not like each other.

Robin, Tracy was close to wanting to quit. It might have worked.

I agree with all of you. Weber expecting Tracy to fail or have an argument with Nolasco. This time, Weber would get behind him if he tried to get rid of her.

Of the two, Tracy is the bigger threat to Weber.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments True. Even knowing what Weber did, I don't see Nolasco standing up to her.
