The story transitions between the present and the years during the task force investigation in 1993 - 1995. We get quite a bit of insight about Nolasco from his own point of view. Did any of it reshape your impressions of the man?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments In the previous books, it felt like Nolasco was a lazy cop who was always looking for a shortcut to solve a case. In these flashbacks, we see that he was serious about the task force and finding the killer.

My thoughts exactly, Robin. He was much more dedicated to the job than I’d considered.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree with you both. It did portray him as diligent in the beginning.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with all of you. We see a different side to Nolasco. I got the feeling that this case changed him.
