Weber undermined Nolasco during the first ill-advised press conference, so much so that Tracy had to defer to him and clean it up. Throughout the investigation, Weber never missed an opportunity to pit him against Tracy. Why was she trying to undermine him? Why did she seemingly have it out for him?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I kept wondering if I missed something. I'm not sure why Weber was targeting Nolasco along with Tracy.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I don't remember anything specific that cued us in on what Weber had against Nolasco, either.

I was baffled by it, too. However, it might be residual from when she was Tracy’s fan. He has a reputation in treating women poorly, especially in those early years so I suspect she was on the receiving end of his behavior, too. But she really wanted to get him here.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Good point, Jonetta. Weber might have put up with Nolasco early in her career. Now she may want to put him in his place.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I think that Weber want Nolacso and Tracy to lock horns. It would be easier for her to reprimand or dismiss one or both of them if they made a scene of some kind.

Pitting them against each other made certain one of them would lose, be the scapegoat and turn attention away from her. It was pretty clever. Diabolical, yes. But if Tracy and Nolasco hadn’t decided to work together, it would have worked.
