I was so looking forward to this one, so I couldn't wait & I am about 3/4 of the way through - & loving it!

This is how I'm reading it Make Way for Lucia by E.F. Benson Really heavy & hard on the wrists.

This is my first time reading this story.

Who else is joining in?

So far it is the best of this series for me!

Susan in NC (susanncreader) | 2069 comments I just finished, also couldn’t wait! I had read this one many years ago, but hadn’t reviewed. I enjoyed the reread more than the first read. Here is my cover Lucia in London (The Mapp & Lucia Novels, #3) by E.F. Benson , and I listened to the audiobook through Scribd. I don’t see the cover on Goodreads, but it was the Naxos audiobook narrated by Georgina Sutton, the complete Mapp & Lucia, volume 1.

Susan in NC (susanncreader) | 2069 comments Is there a Spoiler thread, or can we discuss here?

Does your copy have an ISBN on the cover? I could look at adding it for you, Susan.

Thanks! I read on scribd, nothing there, but found the ASIN # on Amazon: B08TRVNV1C

That one is already on here.

Is this your cover?

The best way to find anything on Goodreads is to search by the identifier B08TRVNV1C or for dead tree books, with the ISBN. If your book is too old to have an identifier it can get a bit tricky.

Susan in NC (susanncreader) | 2069 comments Yes, thanks!

Bobbie | 89 comments I started this about 3 days ago so not too far along. I am also reading a Dickens book from the Dickens group so I am alternating. This is the first of this series for me and it is quite interesting. This is a Kindle book.

Tania | 139 comments I've started my reread. I got to the chapter with Daisy and Georgie and their planchette session, which is a hoot. I'm sure Lucia would be furious if she knew that her adventures in London had become so unimportant to the pair, but out of sight, out of mind. 😅

Tania | 139 comments I love the idea of creating a museum to get rid of all the old bits of rubbish you no longer want around.

It does seem efficient! Especially if tourists seeking a peek at “ye olde English” bits and bobs are willing to pay to look at the “treasures”.

Lesley | 250 comments As well as all the above, I really have just enjoyed the deciphering of the planchette. So funny!

At least there isn't so much of Lucia's lisping childish speech!
So far I'm thinking this book is the best so far.

Elinor | 257 comments I’m just getting started and have only read the first chapter. Honestly, I have had a difficult day and cannot wait to climb into bed with this book! How do people who don’t read books survive, I sometimes wonder. Their lives must be so dull.

I agree 100% - the stresses and cares just melt away when I disappear into a good book!

Elinor | 257 comments Did you ever read such a description as this?
“Mrs. Alingsby was tall and weird and intense, dressed rather like a bird-of-paradise that had been out in a high gale, but very well connected. She had long straight hair which fell over her forehead, and sometimes got in her eyes, and she wore on her head a scarlet jockey-cap with an immense cameo in front of it.” Genius.
