I just finished, also couldn’t wait! I had read this one many years ago, but hadn’t reviewed. I enjoyed the reread more than the first read. Here is my cover , and I listened to the audiobook through Scribd. I don’t see the cover on Goodreads, but it was the Naxos audiobook narrated by Georgina Sutton, the complete Mapp & Lucia, volume 1.

Is there a Spoiler thread, or can we discuss here?

The best way to find anything on Goodreads is to search by the identifier B08TRVNV1C or for dead tree books, with the ISBN. If your book is too old to have an identifier it can get a bit tricky.

I started this about 3 days ago so not too far along. I am also reading a Dickens book from the Dickens group so I am alternating. This is the first of this series for me and it is quite interesting. This is a Kindle book.

I've started my reread. I got to the chapter with Daisy and Georgie and their planchette session, which is a hoot. I'm sure Lucia would be furious if she knew that her adventures in London had become so unimportant to the pair, but out of sight, out of mind. 😅

I love the idea of creating a museum to get rid of all the old bits of rubbish you no longer want around.

It does seem efficient! Especially if tourists seeking a peek at “ye olde English” bits and bobs are willing to pay to look at the “treasures”.

As well as all the above, I really have just enjoyed the deciphering of the planchette. So funny!

At least there isn't so much of Lucia's lisping childish speech!
So far I'm thinking this book is the best so far.

I’m just getting started and have only read the first chapter. Honestly, I have had a difficult day and cannot wait to climb into bed with this book! How do people who don’t read books survive, I sometimes wonder. Their lives must be so dull.

I agree 100% - the stresses and cares just melt away when I disappear into a good book!

Did you ever read such a description as this?
