Nick, and sometimes Freddie, think Sam’s style of questioning can be a bit harsh. What do you think about her approach and methods?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I like her a lot. She is direct and doesn't mess around in her approach.

The kind of job she has doesn’t lend itself to having a soft side. Until she learns more about John and the people in his life, they’re all persons of interest. Her questions are brutal but part of the job is evaluating their reactions. She can be harsh but that’s the job.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Questioning people is part of a detective's job and as Sam says to Freddie, if a cop cannot ask the hard questions, they have no business being a cop.

I had different issues with Sam's police work - she missed a lot of clues that other people had to point out to her such as Christina's coat, Natalie's feelings for John, the possible threat to Graham and Laine. It seemed like she was off her game.

I agree about that, Lauren. Her emotional connection to Nick and maybe the residue from her last case had her off her game.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree with Lauren, she was missing a lot of the little details in this case.

I agree. The last case definitely left her reeling and it affected her.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with Lauren. She is off her game because she didn't appear to deserve all the praise she received from the brass.
