D.L. | 1515 comments I am really surprised no one's reading this book. :(

I just finished chapter 3.

Lina | 823 comments I am glad you are enjoying it!
For me it was a pretty quick and enjoyable read as well (maybe 3.5 stars? I haven't quite decided).

I really liked some of the descriptions, like this one:
And now the sun got low and the light got redder and the shadows got longer and the flowers began to think about closing.
Regarding the religious connotations (careful, this contains very slight spoilers for a scene later on in the book):

I’m reading it 😊 Just haven’t been able to post about it yet. I’m enjoying it. It’s a re-read for me, but it’s been a while! About 38 % done now.

Winter (winter9) | 4998 comments Finished it today too. I agree I was surprised how graphic actually. I didn’t remember. I think I sometimes mix up my thoughts on what the book is with scenes from the tv series I watched every Christmas as a child. I have read it a couple of times before, maybe three, but it’s been a while. Glad I returned to it! I might read the rest of the series in the near future too.

Barb | 3 comments As an addition to Narnia check out Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan. I just read it for the second time and will go back and read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
