Olivia’s mother and sister Natalie continuously pressure her to convince her Aunt Emma to invest money in her father’s Trinity Fund. Why do they call Olivia a traitor? Why do they try using Olivia to get to Aunt Emma? Why does her aunt refuse to invest, changing her trust fund leaving nothing to her sister & her husband (Olivia’s mother & father)? Who will benefit?

They have drunk Robert's Kool-Aid and want to keep their places in his golden circle. Robert wants Emma's money so mommy and sissy will do whatever they can to help him get it. Emma is smart and when the returns Robert claims are too good to be true, she knows there must be something hinky going on. Emma knows that Olivia won't turn over the money, but Natelie is a lost cause.

As stated her father is very good at schmoozing people to get what he wants, and his wife and daughter have bought his lines hook line and sinker. They are part of his cult and will do his bidding.

Her Aunt was smart not to trust Robert but why didn't trust him is unclear. Did she know he was crooked even before Olivia started investigating him? It appears so. I think some people are just a better judge of character.

Emma saw the many schemes that Robert has cooked up over the years. She know that he is after her money after he went through her sister's inheritance. However, she saw their hearts when they abandoned their daughter when she was sick.

Both Emma and Olivia know how Robert MacKenzie does business. They've seen the results of his investment schemes and know that he just wants Emma's money for his next money-making idea. He knows Emma has a soft spot for Olivia and believes that he can convince Olivia to talk her aunt out of her millions.
