Olivia and the other three girls became fluent in speaking French to please Dr. Pardieu who continues to see them for checkups. Why would they do this? Did you have any reason to suspect Dr. Pardieu of being anything other than an outstanding doctor? Was he ever on your suspect list?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments For one thing it kept their brains engaged and it was just sweet that they did it for him. I never suspected him of anything at any time.

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments They were bored and between the treatments and their pranks I think they needed some brain stimulus and what better way than to learn a new language. I also believe they respected and loved him very much, so it was their way of showing this. He was never a suspect to me.

Jessica | 156 comments I was so happy when I learned this. It tells me that the Dr was very good to them. I never suspected him. As far as learning a new language, when you are not able to leave your bed, the best thing you can do is engage your brain.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I love Dr. Pardieu and so did his patients. Learning French to please him would be a way for them to show his love. I'll bet one of the girls repeated a french expression back to him and his delight made them want to learn more.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I never suspected Dr. Pardieu. He was a father figure for Olivia and the other pips. He wouldn't hurt them.
