16 years ago 4 girls became inseparable friends while attending a boarding school in England. Kate, Thea, Isabelle and Fatima were an indomitable foursome especially with their own game: the lying game. Lies were told constantly to staff, students, family but there one steadfast rule was that they could never lie to one another. That rule would be put to the test when the body of Kate's father, Ambrose, was discovered in the desolate marsh surrounding his home.

Now the grown women have been summoned by Kate to come help her with the certain police questioning surrounding her father's death. They all feel a certain amount of guilt concerning the death but are stunned to learn the truth when it is uncovered. One of them has definitely been lying to the others and the consequences may prove deadly.

I enjoyed this one although I can't say I was fond of any of the characters. The mystery was a good one and the setting pleasingly spooky.
