I'm halfway through and love Keera Duggan. Her family is an interesting group of dysfunctional characters. I can't wait to see what happens next with them.

Duggan's family - wow her sisters are both something else for entirely different reasons. Ella appears to be the tough know it all older sister. I'm glad she (so far) appears to know enough to not attempt to be on the bench with Keera. Margaret (?) seems to be the woe's me type - everything is everyone else's fault and everything gets dumped on her.
Loved seeing Foz and Del. Would be awesome if we get a Tracy Crosswhite viewing too :)
Looks like Ambrose is going to be Keera's Nolesco.
The chess game add in/analogy is fascinating. I wish I played chess.
I feel for widower, Vince. I really hope he is innocent. Wondering who this Jack Worthing person is. How does all of this fit.
I wish I didn't have to work for a living, lol. I just want to put my earbuds in and finish the book. Robert Dugoni always writes books that I just fall right into.

Keera is their father's favorite. They both feel that they were supporting Patrick Duggan while Keera was off defying her father and working as a public defender.
I love the nickname of Irish Brawler. He was a formidable
opponent as a young lawyer.
I love the chess game. I used to play all the time with my dad, but we were never as good as Keera and her father.
I didn't expect the twist. I can't wait until you get there.
I'm with you. Working for a living interferes with my reading. I do listen to audiobooks all day, but sometimes I get too many phone calls that get in my way. LOL

Then I listened on my commute.....I only had a little bit left at that point so I finished it on my lunch.
OMG - I wish there was a book 2 right now. I want to know what happens next.
I haven't read the last Tracy Crosswhite book so I'll do that one soon.
I was definitely not expecting that twist in the end. How absolutely terrible and terrifying for Ann to find out things about her husband after being married for so long. Granted really how well do any of us really know another human being. We only learn /know what they are willing to share with us as this book demonstrated.
I loved the chess game between daughter and father. I was wondering throughout the book if it was Jack Worthing or if it was Ambrose.
I admit I don't have a lot of first hand knowledge of alcoholism in my immediate family or my husbands immediate family. My Dad came from a large Irish Catholic family. 13 children in all - though the youngest passed away within days of birth. 7 boys and 5 daughters. My Dad was the oldest. Most of my uncles on my Dads side were alcoholics and ended up divorced. I'm the youngest and my Dad stayed away from alcohol for the most part of what I could see. Most of them have already passed on. I had 1 Uncle that passed away in his late 20s from a car or motorcycle accident. He was the youngest brother. I never asked if it was alcohol related. If I remember correctly it happened in the winter so could've just been road conditions. Chicago is known for it's terrible winter weather. I only have 1 Uncle left and he has Dementia. 3 of the sisters are left. All of them are in decent health for their ages which range from mid 80's to mid 70's. We lost the oldest daughter right around the time my Dad was ill. Then just this year we lost the youngest daughter.
Is it bad I thought it was funny that he acted the drunk to get Keera more time.
I hope that Maggie (receptionist) figures out her life. Ella seems like she has a good head on her shoulder. I'm not sure it was a bad thing for Keera to go out on her own and try something else. Especially since it seemed to help her a lot with this case that landed in her lap.

Also, I loved that Keera figured out her father was the person playing chess with her online. She could have checkmate, but I don't think she wanted the game to end until she made things right with her father.
Jonetta said that Robert Duggoni posted on his Instagram that he will continue with Tracy Crosswhite as long as people want her. She responded that she wants the series to continue forever. I'm going to jump on his Instagram page and post the same thing.
I love Tracy, and I think I'm going to love Keera just as much. I hope the next book in this series comes out soon too. I want more.

True - kind of sad that it took the doctor telling him he had liver disease that made him see reason :(

Yes, so much this. It was a wonderful way for them to connect and heal somewhat - rebuild a relationship

Immediately went and followed him, lol. I definitely want more Tracy along with everyone else.

Last thoughts on Keera's book. I'm hoping Ambrose isn't a huge part of the series. I wouldn't mind seeing something develop between Rossi and her. Would be cool if he could figure at some point to do a crossover between Tracy and Keera.
I now want to check out all of Dugoni's other series and stand alone books. See if I can fit them in next year.
So so many books and so little time, lol
