During the Feasting take some time and read a good book (any book you like).

This month we celebrate Colson Whitehead (11/6) and Margaret Atwood (11/18).
Read a book whose Author's FIRST name begins with either C•M•O•A•L•R•S•G•N•E•T and LAST name begins with either W•A•H•T•I•O•E•D

1.3 Young Readers Day (11/14)
Read a book that has MPG: MIDDLE GRADE -OR- MPG:YOUNG ADULT

1.4 BEAUTIFUL DAY (11/19)
Read a book with a Beautiful cover (your choice, show cover)

1.5 Homemade Bread 🍞 Day (11/17)
Read a book that has a character who is baking bread (tell us what kind of bread) -OR- character owns a bakery (tell us the name of bakery).


1.6 Chia Pet Day (11/29)
Read a book that has the letters C•H•I•A in the title (any order) -OR- the MC has a pet (tell us about their pet).


1.7 (Linda C task) Thanksgiving Day (USA) - 11/23/23
For the 23rd day of November of the century.
Read a book published on the 23rd day of any year -OR- a book published in 2023.

1.8 (Marilyn Task) November Surgery
My husband just had surgery. Read a book with a physician or nurse as one of the characters OR Read a book with a hospital as part of the setting.

1.9 (The Adventures Task) My Parents Are Visiting From France !!!
Read a book by a French Author -OR- a book set on France ;)

1.10 (Marilyn Task) November Birthday
My daughter, Jennifer, celebrates her birthday 11/29. Read a book whose author's first and last name initials appear in the word "Jennifer" OR read a book whose publishing date or # of pages include any two numbers in 1129. (eg, published in 2011 or 210 pages long)

2.3 (Tessa Task) I'm Thankful For ...
Read 2 Books

At Thanksgiving we usually go 'round the table saying what we are thankful for. The responses usually break down into one of five categories: Health, Love, Family, Sustenance (Food), and Shelter.

Read two book each of which deals with one of these five categories. You must use two different prompts.
For example, you might read a book with food on the cover for the "Sustenance" prompt; and a romance for "love."

Tell us which prompt you are using, and IF it's not obvious, please tell us how your book fits.

2.4 (Amber Task) November Holidays Besides Thanksgiving 🙂

1. November 1st- All Saint's Day - This is a time to remember and honor those that have gone on before us. In my church we celebrate on the fist Sunday in November and we light candles, ring bells of remembrance, and call the names of those members lost in the previous year.
Read a book with MPG: Christian or where a church or candle(s) are on the cover (show cover)

2. November 11th - Veteran's Day - this is a day to honor Veteran's of the United States Armed Forces.
Read a book with a character who is a Veteran or publication day has an 11. (i.e. 11/01/1984 or 04/11/2000 or 03/24/2011

Three Points Task

3.1 (Linda C Task) TURKEY GIBLETS: Neck, Heart, Gizzard, and Liver
Read 3 books

Certain parts of a turkey are packaged in the cavity of the bird and cooks deal with them in a variety of ways. We simmer the giblets (minus the liver) with onion, carrot and celery tops in about 4 cups of water to make stock to add to drippings for gravy. We sauté the liver separately in butter and snack on it. Select 3 options from the list below.
1. NECK - Read a book that has a neck on the cover. Neck can be human or animal. (Show cover)
2. HEART – Read a book with a heart on the cover (show cover) or where the title starts with one of the letters in HEART.
3. GIZZARD – Read a book with a double letter in one of the title words.
4. LIVER – Read a book where the author’s initials are in the word LIVER.
5. GIBLETS - Read a book with all the letters in GIBLETS in the title/subtitle. Do not need to be in order.
6. TURKEY – Read a book with a bird on the cover (show cover) – BONUS POINT if the bird is a turkey.
