micah ellalasingham | 1 comments Im struggling to push through this book… anyone want to weigh in on why this is one of the greatest American novels and therefore it’s worth the read? Im aware it’s readers error and the book is probably incredible if it’s made it on the list, so I’m looking for some encouragement!

Heather Grigsby | 3 comments I read it long ago before I ever appreciated books and I still struggle. I can’t find myself reading it again.

Btw I loved Grapes of Wrath, the struggle of these poor people who just wanted to work to be able to live and support their families, them being vilified and used just so companies could make more profit. For me this was a very emotional read, also the fact that little has really changed for the poorest in our societies just made it feel so relevant for me when I read it.
