I read anything I can read (almost literally), but it tends to non-fiction due to work - currently loads of books on Buddhism - and interests.
My favorite recent read fiction was "Forsaken house" by Richard Baker. I'm a great fan of anything Benjamin Disraeli; I read multiple of his books some time back.

I studied English philology in university and had to analyze lots of classics by American and British authors. Most of the works sadly went under the radar so I'm hoping to read a few of them next year.
Favorite books are quite rare for me as I tend to read with a critical eye, but a book that I really enjoyed recently is If Cats Disappeared from the World by Genki Kawamura.

Please let me know how you like this book! It's been recommended to me by someone I know but I usually don't like reading biographies.

Felicia, I really loved it! Was a good read for me...the bonus was for me realizing that the author is also a musician (Japanese Breakfast) that I really loved already, I didn't know her name so it gets an extra star from me just for that! Feel free to friend me and check out what else I've been reading :)

Anyway, I'm Lilly, an illustrator from London, and I'm currently almost finished with a book called "Lonely Castle in the Mirror" - an interesting modern Japanese novel about children who have troubles at school and get sucked into a mysterious castle. I like it quite a bit so far, but I'll reserve full judgement until the end.

Feel free to introduce yourself here by telling us your name/username and your favorite book right now.

My name is Ruth and I am a college student. Since I am majoring in the sciences all I read for a long time were research papers, so it is my intent to go back to reading for fun. My favorite book right now is Paul Kalanithi's memoir When Breath Becomes Air.
