Jezzy Jess, the last instruction of this challenge said that: all books should be Crime/Mystery/Thriller & their subgenres. from your posts, only Salem's Lot mentions mystery & thriller on its genre list which should be fine.

Jess Penhallow | 18 comments Ah sorry I missed that. I removed the other books but Farewell Fountain Street is a thriller. It is a translated novel and doesn't have many tags on Goodreads but here is the Google Books page where it is listed as a thriller

Nike | 74 comments I've got a question: what does toaster mean here? I guess you don't mean that you kill someone with a device for toasting bread and when I've googled what it means in slang I've got several different suggestions ranging from church organ to an attractive person.

What kind of murder weapon is it though?

message 16: by Rubena (new)

Rubena | 66 comments Hi Nike,
Yes, it is a device for toasting bread. I figure you could use it as a weapon if you hit someone on the back of their head with it. Although as I write this, I'm wondering what part of the head and
how many times you'd have to hit the person with the toaster for them to die.

😮! You really think it's meant literally? But I noticed that two persons have read books for that option and I can't imagine that there really are books with bread toasters as weapons? Are you sure it doesn't have another meaning in slang?

message 18: by Rubena (new)

Rubena | 66 comments Not that I know of. I read a book where it was mentioned as murder weapon.
