This is a book which I am struggling to rate and review. I believe that Benjamin has written a compelling fictionalization of Alice Liddell's life. Alice Liddell was the inspiration for Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass.
Her life story is interesting and Benjamin handles it with a deft hand.
Truthfully there is just that one thing which I can't get past and so for me could add no higher rating for. I wish Benjamin had imagined some things a bit differently.
