Peyton secretly records Drew’s advances & sends the recording to her email and sister and then quits her job. On the way home, she’s run off the road by a truck and yet she doesn’t file a police report. When she realizes she was shot at, she still doesn’t call the police. Why? Did you see these as TSTL moments, or are they understandable in the way it occurred?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments She knew Rick Parsons would be right on her trail. She knew he would try to stop her. He hit her car and ended up going off of the road. At that point she should have called the police or driven to the nearest police station.

She didn't figure out till later that he had shot at her vehicle. Then she decided to ask Finn (the FBI) for help.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Peyton was brilliant in the way she recorded the conservation with Drew. She should have called the cops the second she saw him run off the road. But, all she wanted was to be away from that place.

Jessica | 156 comments I understand the desire to run. This business, in particular, ran the whole entire town. How could she know that Drew did not own the police. Even the owner of the motel she was staying at didn't call the police.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I loved the way Peyton recorded her conversation with Drew too, Anita. I was disappointed when he destroyed the recording...until we found out that she had a second recording device on her.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree Peyton was brilliant. I suspected she had a backup. If Peyton brought the only copy to Drew, it would set up a TSTL moment. Drew relaxed once he hit delete. He would think women aren't smart enough to have backup.

It didn't surprise me that she ran. In that secluded area, I would concentrate on getting away more than finding a police officer. The sound of snow on trees could mask the sound of gunshots.

Once she was home she felt safe. Peyton thought the threat was gone. When she knew it wasn't, she talked to Finn.
