I am still in the first few pages of the book and liking it so far. This is the first Jonas Jonasson book that I am reading. So I don’t know what exactly to expect. But so far it has been good 🙂

I'm so happy to see this here! I enjoyed this twice. For those not familiar with this author, the J is said like Y.

I am still in the first few chapters and thoroughly enjoying the morbid humour 🙂

I am around 150 pages in and am finding it so funny!

I really like how Allen (view spoiler)[keeps coming across all these famous historical figures and becomes close to them all. It's making me chuckle (hide spoiler)]

Hi I finally finished it yesterday. Got delayed because of some work related commitments. And this became the book I kickstarted my new year with. What a fun roller coaster ride this was!! I was grinning all throughout. Especially the morbid humour got through to me. (view spoiler)[ Alan Karlsson was endearing in his own way 🙂 someone who made tons of lemonade from all the lemons life threw at him. He killed these young goons and it made me chuckle 😂 But yes parts of the book did feel a bit dragging as the author tried to fit in the entire history of 20th century in Karlsson’s life!!
