The Reading Frenzy discussion

We are approaching our twelfth month of the TBR Game and I've loved every minute of it. It's been such a fun time and cool way to bring some of us together through reading. So without delay let's dive right in to December's prompts and round out the year with some great books!

The Prompts

⭐️ I sent out a message to all the group members ahead of this post to give you some time to choose someone in the group to participate with or to message me to request a pair up OR to join us MOD's in our buddy read. We've decided we will be reading Episode Thirteen together this month to fulfill this prompt so if you want to join us in reading this title please feel free to do so. I'll be putting up a spoiler-free discussion post so that we can all read at our own pace without spoiling each other. Once we have completed the book we will discuss spoiler items.

⭐️ This prompt should be pretty easy to find a book for. I feel like flora and fauna on book covers has been quite popular lately. I will try to find a book with both flora and fauna but one or the other will also be accepted.

I'm counting this month as a full win. Episode Thirteen was ok. I'm not a big horror reader, but I enjoyed this one. Ciao, Bella was a cute, fun romance that took me back to the country I lived in as an exchange student (I think I need at least one fun Australian read per year, and this was my second for 2023). Becoming was good, but I was not in the best headspace for it when I was listening to it. Talk Santa to Me was a cute, fun Christmas-y story, and I enjoyed having so many Christmas-y reads this year. I'm still reading She Gets the Girl, it's really cute and I am just eating it up, but I have 10 chapters left and I'm planning to finish it after the Bills game today.
Summer, I've enjoyed this iteration of the challenge, thank you for hosting it again this year!

Manged to read Peach Pit, Camp Damascus, and Murder and Mamon. I think Peach pit was one of my favourite anthologies of the year. There were a few meh stories but some really steller ones too. Camp Damascus is a really soild horror debut, great character work and body horror. Murder and Mamon was definitely better than the last Tia Rose mystery but still not as good as the first two.

I think I may actually take the plunge and read Camp Damascus. I'm not brave enough for Tingles for outlandish stuff but this sounds good!
