What did you think of Let Us Descend?

I loved the magic and the myth element of the story. She was taking a physical journey and also a spiritual journey at the same time and the two intertwine in places.

That sounds interesting. I have it slotted for one of the tasks a little later on.

It's a fit with a few tasks this time round and it's a recent publication. I much preferred Homegoing though.

Did you like The Sacrament? I have it slated to read for the hike too, but I'm not sure I'll get to it.

It was okay but not my favorite read. The book has two storylines and instead of complimenting each other like good books do, they compete with each other for the reader's attention. These storylines run through the book so I found it annoying rather than informative. It lacked a clear story mountain and the resolution was absent as well.

Ooof! It doesn't sound all that great.
