Everyone's welcome to join!

Can we do it in 2 weeks? I'm ready to start :)

assia♡︎ | 8 comments All ready🫡

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments OK, then. shall we read the first half and check in on Saturday or Sunday?

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments So I read the first half which is 15 chapters. Let me know how you're getting on, assia :)

assia♡︎ | 8 comments Due to me suffering with my sudden finals this week I am still stuck on the 7th chapter :’) I hope I could reach you by the end of the 2nd week,,,,, tell me if you’re enjoying the book btw?

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments We don't have to rush, I don't mind reading it slower ;)
I'm definitely enjoying the book, it's light and funny and but there are some things about Ryan that made me cringe a little. Let me know when you finish ch.15 and we'll carry on :)

assia♡︎ | 8 comments I’ve made it to the end of the book pheww!! What made you cringe of him?

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments I'm trying to remember... I think there was something about his bossiness that I found annoying. Well, I'm still at chapter 16 so I'd better go and finish it then.
So how did you like it?

assia♡︎ | 8 comments alright I will wait for you too,, yep I noticed that he tends to boss around and has the last word hehe.
I actually found it good exciting and fun from the start but the ending felt different

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments I enjoyed the book, it was a nice, positive story, but the characters were not my cup of tea. Ryan was giving away this feeling of superiority as if he thought he was more important than everyone else. And wow, how in the world did June not know that all these years ago he'd been actually flirting with her rather than doing everything to turn her into his enemy? I wouldn't. I would definitely hate him forever.
And I couldn't quite put my finger on June. Was she shy or self-confident? I'm still not sure.
And also, is it really enemies to lovers trope since they were both pining for each other from the very beginning, just lacking in communication skills? In my opinion, not quite.
But there were also some little things that I liked. I liked how June's body insecurities, however unreasonable, were portrayed and how Ryan was 100% into her, oblivious to her mental struggles.
A great body-positivity message there.
So yeah, It was an ok book.
