As in past years, anyone who finished the Reading Challenge in time gets to work together to pick the January BotM for the next year!

The rules for the picks are:
- Nominated titles must be single volume, OGN, or single issue (no omnibuses or multi-volume collections). We allow any kind of comic for nomination (e.g. Manga, American Comics, Franco-Belgian, etc.) as long as they are available in English.

- Only the first volume of a series may be nominated, unless the group has already read the previous volume(s) as a book of the month. To see what we've read, check out our group's bookshelf.

What would you like to read for January 2024? Let's aim to make a decision by December 31!

From looking at the challenge page, it looks like Paul G, Tom, Evilblacksheep, Jessica, and Stephanie completed the challenge - way to go you guys!!

Evilblacksheep | 85 comments I wanna nominate one of my favourite comic book I've read this year (and that is also available in english, the others have not been translated yet) : The Art of Flying

I saw a few people in the group already read it though (and highly rated it) so idk if it's a problem.

Paul Goracke | 80 comments Having a hard time with this. I keep picking/gravitating toward books that aren’t easy for people to read without purchase. I’m going to have the same problem for my main list pick.

For January, I shall narrow my nominations down to Catwoman: Lonely City or Always Never.

I loved Always Never!

Evilblacksheep | 85 comments I can agree on Always never too. I didn't read it but I love most of what Jordi Lafebre does, so there is that!

Jessica (juicica) | 41 comments Paul, I'm going to have to second your nomination for Catwoman: Lonely City. It looks like a super fun read and I've been wanting to check it out since you nominated it last year!

I'd be cool with Catwoman as well!

Evilblacksheep | 85 comments Fine by me also

Tom | 175 comments Though I finish the challenges, finding new books to put on the next challenge is hard enough for me. Which is why I don't rec in the January thread.

I will read what the majority selects.
