Use this Topic to discuss books you are reading or that fit the 9th Scavenger Hunt task.

Task 9: January 21, 2024 will mark 100 years since the death of Vladimir Lenin, founding head of the government of Soviet Russia. Read a Boxall list book by a writer that lived in or is currently living in a communist country. (Contributed by Jennifer Austin)

I've started Half of Man is Woman by Zhang Xianliang for this task. The author lived in China throughout the Cultural Revolution and was sent to both prison and a labor camp.
