2-3-4 Challenge discussion

It’s that time to begin thinking about the new year! Hopefully, you’ve given this some thought about it and are ready to start stating your goals for our challenge in the coming year.

Since we all have different numbers of series with variable numbers of books within each series, it's impossible to set plain "number of series" goals for comparison. And, we all have different approaches to tackling our TBR shelves and series. But! We have a common objective in making a dent in those shelves.

So, tell us what you're hoping to achieve with this challenge in 2024? I'll set them up in the Reading Tracker as they're added here.

My goals for next year is as follow:

Read 10 cozy mysteries
Read 30 books
Read 2 non fiction books
Read two books in series that I want to continue
Read two books in Science fiction/Fantasy genre

1. Read 120 books.
2. Get up-to-date on 7 series.
3. Complete 7 series.
4. Read 30 Standalone books, 15 of which have been in my TBR pile for 2+ years.
5. Read 5 Nora Roberts books.
6. Complete at least half of my challenges.

No change from 2023.

My 2024 goals
1) Read 23,000 pages
2) Read 60 books
3) Read 5 books that have been made into movies/TV shows
4) Read 3 Trilogies
5) Complete 3 series
6) Get up-to-date in 3 series

I'm keeping the same goals as last year with one or two changes

2024 Goals

1. Continue 5 series begun in 2023.
2. Continue 5 stagnated series
3. Complete 5 series in different genres
4. Read 3 books from genres that are not my usual fare:
a. Science Fiction
b. Non Fiction
c. Sequential Art

My 2024 Reading Goals

1. Start 2 new series in 2024
2. Complete 5 series that I started prior to 2024
3. Read 150 books
4. Get up-to-date on 3 series
5. Read 5 new to me authors.
6. Read 2 nonfiction books

I wasn't very successful last year, but I feel like I'm starting 2024 in a better place for reading. I'll see.
