Hey Y’all!

It’s that time again!

January is around the corner so if you have a suggestion for the poll that would be great.

I look forward to hearing from you 🤓🤓

OMG I’m so over my iPhone app, it is only showing one book cover per post. I checked the website and it shows all the covers along with the titles. This is so weird.

If this is happening to anyone else, you’ll have to go to the website to see all the books people are suggesting.

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments I cannot see what books are being suggested. I will read whatever is the winner of the poll. I don’t even know what to suggest so I will go along with the majority.

I can’t see the books on the app either Dosha. You’ll have to go the website to see the suggestions.

I’m going to create the poll today. I’ll post the link here and send an email to make sure everyone can access it.

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments Okay. Thanks Shaylah, you are the best!

Karin | 627 comments Oh, I'm so far back in line to get the latest James McBride book I might not get it in time for January but I do like his writing. I should have put a hold on it sooner than earlier this month! However, there is at least one other book here that looks good so I'll check them all out before the poll is up :)

I'm so happy, but sadly won't be able to get my copy in time. Perhaps I could check my Amazon points and buy it even though I've been saving them for a different book.

Right now I'm on a very long list that might take months unless I'm next for my local library's copy, and this is one of two groups where this book won for this month so I might buy it. I'll keep an eye on my library account :)

Karin | 627 comments I can see now I won't be getting the book in time to read this month, but I will be reading it this year.

Hey Karin, have you heard of the app boundless? It's like Libby where you put in your library card info but somehow they have the books available when Libby does not. For me, on Libby the audiobook of Heaven and Earth is a 6-10wk wait but there was no wait on Boundless.

If you read ebooks and listen to audiobooks you should check out Boundless. Either way, jump in the convo whenever you start reading the book. This book has a lot to talk and it's a convo that can last a while.

Dosha (Bluestocking7) Beard (bluestocking7) | 4376 comments I never heard of Boundless, thanks - even though this wasn’t meant for me. Hoopla is another app that works like Libby. Unfortunately for me, I can only get ebooks and movies on Hoopla even though my friends and family can get audiobooks. I am going to look for Boundless now.

It is true, I look forward to many robust conversations about this book.

Boundless replaced an app called Axis 360, I went there trying to get the audiobook book for Heaven but I was redirected to boundless. That’s how I found out about it. The ebook has a waitlist but the audiobook is available.

Yes in my experience hoopla hardly ever has the ebook or audiobook I’m looking for, it’s usually one or the other or not at all.

Thanks, but I read books on paper for the most part for my eyes/migraines/sleep. It sounds fabulous, though!

I used my kindle (with no lights in it) during covid, though, through the library and also I joined Kindle Unlimited for a couple of months.
