Aka: Come for the BABY YODA, stay for the BOOKS
It will make sense once you see the videos. I promise. :D
It's hard to keep a track of unread paperbacks on the shelves but even harder to do so for the ebooks. At least that's the case for me. Because ebooks are way cheaper in our place and I always buy new titles whenever I find them on offer. Either on Kindle or on Smashwords, or Kobo.
I tell myself I will read them but always end up picking a new title from KU or reading something else that's been recommended.
So, the bought books slowly slide down to the bottom of the library and sit there untouched for years.
📜Does that strike a chord for you too?😅
Sure, we can plan to read all of those titles from the blacklist in a nicely set order.
But there's nothing worse than a set TBR for a mood reader. The reading slump will hit like a freight train without breaks.🚂
Been there. Got smacked like that. And that slump packs one hell of punch!
But I REALLY want to clear that backlog, so I'm trying something different in 2024.
📜This new scroll challenge that tickles the fussy mood reader in me.
📜43 books from my Kindle & Kobo are each noted down in one little scroll. Tied with beads strings because I had no ribbon. And because wooden beads on old scrolls look pretty good.
I'll be picking them one by one and reading the books they represent. And I'll show you how it goes in little reels.
Not sure how many I can get through before the end of the year and I want no pressure, so the goal will be: As Many As I Can.💪
Perhaps this little 'pick my next read game' will tickle the mood reader in you too and be of some help with your backlog.
