I'm cheating here because this is a new book (please, don't make me read another romance).
This is a classic romance in the sense that it's the same old twaddle that you find in most romance novels: innocent, virginal girl meets experienced man about town, wins said man, loses said man, wins said man, loses self, repeat forever. UGH!
Guess what? I still don't like romances. However, I enjoyed the links to old Hollywood and the references to the filming of Gone with the Wind. Believe me, that is the only reason this one didn't end up on the Book I didn't Finish list. Plus, I already have a book on that list. Thank you for liberating me from crappy books, Nancy Pearl!
