Rebecca | 5 comments I'm a college age student who is sick of reading about early high schoolers. I'm more okay with high school age in settings that are not high school (apocalypse or fantasy) so that it is easier to suspend my disbelief. I like fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, and romance. Some of my favorite books (no particular order) are Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen), Six Crimson Cranes (Elizabeth Lim), Penryn and the End of Days (Susan Ee), Blade of Ash (CFE Black), Harry Potter (JK Rowling), Lord of the Rings (JRR Tolkien). Any suggestions are appreciated.

Madison McAuley | 67 comments Here’s a few recs you might like.
The River of Fallen Stars is the first of a historical fiction/fantasy series with protagonists in their early 20s. (For transparency, this is my series, but it seems to fit what you’re looking for.) There’s currently 2 books with the 3rd coming out later this year.

Are you ok with mysteries? I enjoyed the first two books of Tirzah Price Jane Austen murder mystery series. (First book is a retelling of P&P)

The Bachelor Girl's Guide to Murder was a really humorous historical mystery featuring a female duo of sleuth friends.

A couple other historical fiction/romances…
My Fine Fellow
Shades of Pemberley (A great P&P spinoff about the daughter of Wickham and Lydia)
Sarah M Eden has some great regencys. While the Jonquil/Lancasrer series is my personal favorite, her new huntresses series focuses on a slightly younger group of characters and may be more what you’re looking for.

An older book I discovered recently I thought was cute Daddy-Long-Legs

Hope this helps!

Madison McAuley | 67 comments Oh and Annette Larsen has some good historical fiction/fantasy books too. I’ve read a few from her princesses of Dalthia series, but she has another series of fairytale retelling also available.

ocean ☆ (jacks’s version 🍎) | 17 comments I’m reading the Once Upon a Broken Heart series by Stephanie Garber and they are mostly clean! There’s a little bit of innuendo but nothing explicit.

Kld2003 | 24 comments The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Bown are clean, victorian mysteries with a bit of romance. If you like Pride and Prejudice you will enjoy the series.
