Well, looks like we're all going to be reading children's and middle grade books for this one! (Which according to the rules of the challenge is completely acceptable - we love and support all books that help Jewish kids and teens feel seen and beautifully reflected.)

In all seriousness, it's tough to find books that overtly center Jewish joy. And of course reading book descriptions, the drama is going to be the part that gets emphasized, not the many small moments of joy some books contain. So this list is going to depend on you, the readers, to help populate with books you've already read and found joyful. And if we still can't find many, well, 1, 2, 3, Nosh With Me is always waiting for us.

Yes, they are "low spice"—yes, they are light reads, but whether she is incorporating her own family history in to her fiction, such as Becoming Malka or Destiny by Design- Leah's Journey, or one of her "Jewish Austen Fan Fiction novels (The Meyersons of Meryton Celestial Persuasion or The Jews of Donwell Abbey: An Emma Vagary, the narrative is inspiring and focuses on Jewish pride, culture, and heritage.
