Was the final climax exciting or predictable? Were there any surprises in the story?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I remember that it was satisfying.

It involved Sage being kidnapped by Alonzo and Glenda. They blew up the clinic and then took her to his private home (not the one where he lived). Sage was able to pretend she was still under the drug influence, got a jump on Glenda (put the syringe in her), then bolted. There was a cliff side confrontation with Alonzo where he fell to his death. Johnny was able to pull Sage to safety.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Ah, now I remember why I thought it was a little anti-climactic. Thanks Jonetta.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 134 comments It felt a little anti climactic for me too. Yes there were actions happening but the way it was written didn't really show a sense of urgency in the situation. Though I would have to give it to Sage for staying cool under pressure and getting away without the hero doing the rescuing per se.

It was interesting but didn't have me on the edge of my seat. I think because I just didn't have enough clues to the Glenda/Alonzo connection. But, like you, Quynh, I liked that she pretty much saved herself.

yes, there weren't enough details to hint at this connection.

Dawn ♥ romance (dawnromance) I kind of liked the plot. My thoughts went as story directed (view spoiler) Climax was mildly exciting.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I thought the climax was really exciting! I read till 2:00 am and then couldn't get to sleep. When Sage got off the train and met Alonzo, I knew that no good was going to come from that. But at least Sage got over her perceived betrayal by Johnny and he never gave up on her.
