Freddie gives Elin an ultimatum to show up for dinner with his mother or they’re through. She doesn’t show up. Your thoughts about how he handled the situation?

I think he had to be a man of his word, although I did like how the rest of this played out.

Freddie was having a wonderful time being Elin's sex toy, but Freddie, being Freddie wasn't cut out for this. He started having feelings for her beyond the sex and needed to know if she could feel the same for him.

I don't like ultimatums. (Who does?) He is trying to control the situation with Elin by telling her she has to do what he wants or he is done. I think he wants to force her to become his girlfriend instead of his sex kitten. If she doesn't want to do that, she shouldn't be forced into it.

Freddie is still a traditional man and wants a relationship based on mutual love and respect. I wasn't surprised that he wanted more from Elin, but she was unwilling to give him what he needed.

@Robin - I am not sure he was trying to force her. It is more like he was showing her what he wanted and it was up to her to decide if she wanted them same. There is no point wasting his time and his feelings on someone who cannot reciprocate. The ultimatum was more for him than for her.

Lauren, that's a good explanation. I like Freddie, but I didn't like him giving her an ultimatum. It makes sense that it was more for him than for her.

I understand the ultimatum. Freddy is fighting friends and family when it comes to Elin. If she doesn't want a relationship, then he needs to call it as it is. He doesn't want a booty call; he is looking for love and a permanent relationship. If Elin doesn't show up, the relationship isn't going to last.

Very true! Why should he put in the time and effort, if she isn't interested in anything long-term?

I'm also not a fan of ultimatums most of the time. But in this case, he needed to know where he stood with her.

Ultimatums rarely work so this was destined to blow up. Freddie’s heart was in the right place but his execution was way off track. This required a sit down where he gave her a choice, fully expressing how important she was to him, more than a booty call.

Poor guy.
