Hi - I'd like to remove some nominations listed on my book's page ie Barbara Jefferis, Nita Kibble and NIB award. The Sharp Writ Book award should have the book listed as a finalist.

Very few librarians do awards. You need to edit your post to put it in the awards folder, so one of them sees it (I used to do awards but now just do the awards I curate on here.) Since you haven't selected a folder this request will disappear from view very quickly.

Hi Carol - thanks so much for responding but I'm not quite sure how to put my query into a folder. The link you provided goes to a page with a lot of information but I can't quite understand it. Sorry to be dumb.

I'm also unsure why I can't edit this myself given I'm a Goodreads author.

Hi

It needs to be done in the desktop view of the site (not the app)

You should see the word edit under your comment box

Click on that

By the title of your post you should see the word edit.

Click on that

You will then see the word folder, in a box select click on the litle symbol at the end (sorry I can't remember the name for it)

Then you will see a list of folders to choose from

Select Awards

Press save.

As to why authors can't work on awards themselves.

Among other reasons, the way awards have been set up is very tricky. They have to be done to a specific format or else a malformed version of the award is created.

Edit; But you should be able to edit your profile to add/remove awards from there - just not the award field.

Hi - I've managed to put the comment in the Awards folder but no one has helped me to solve the issue. I still can't see how to amend the awards information.

Any direct help would be appreciated for this luddite! The book is The Wedding Shroud: A Tale of Ancient Rome

Yes it's me again! If you look at other requests on this page, you will see I have reluctantly come back to this folder, as there are no other librarians working in it atm.

It was no problem to delete the Barbara Jefferis as it hadn't been entered correctly (no date) After some time spent digging around I can't find anything saying you were a nominee for the Nita Kibble or the NIB award, so deleted at the author's request.

If you want the Sharp Writ award nomination altered please provide a link to the award website, as requested in the stickied post for this folder.
