Dhampir is our 1/1 book!

I'm going to nominate Dhampir. It's the first book in a series set in Medieval Times called Noble Dead. The people know of elves but have very little interaction with them.
I don't usually nominate books I've already read but this one was REALLY good and I can't resist.

I hadn't heard of either The Bone Doll's Twin or Immortal Warrior. I'm going to have to check them out. Nominations are always bad for my To-Read list :)

Doomsday Book
No witches, weres or vampires, but an *amazing* book.

I highly recommend Bone Doll's twin series. I couldn't put the books down!

I recommended/ nominated The Doomsday Book. It's a book about time travel with one time period some years in our future and another in England in 1348.
I was just reading about Azincourt here. The main character has two saints talking to him, according to reviewers, so maybe that is paranormal? I haven't read it, but have read many of Cornwell's books and I love them too. And it's about a dramatic new weapon: the long bow.
I haven't read, nor am I allowed to nominate another book, but what about Eifelheim?
Hmmm... should we open up nominations to include Science Fiction???
What does everyone think?
I've liked most of the Science Fiction I've read (which hasn't been much) so I'm fine with it as long as it fits the theme of the month.
Any other thoughts?

I want to say Taliesin by Stephen R. Lawhead or The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. I don't care which they are both on my To-read list and they both seem great medieval books.

Those both look like really good books Levi =)
Does one recommendation mean only one will be accepted?

We like to have only one rec from each member so our list doesn't get too long. Does one of those books look better to you Levi??
Eon Dragoneye Reborn looks really good. I'm pretty sure it's set in an alternate medieval time so it works :)

Hmm, well I already bought Taliesin, but Stephen King is so tempting so I'll go with The Eyes of the Dragon.
We have a tie in our poll so I've put up a tie breaker poll that will run through the end of the week.

I'm VERY excited to announce our Medieval Themed Group Read. We'll be reading Dhampir and starting discussions on 1/1.
I've already read this book and the rest in the series. It's a great series so I'm excited to see what others think of it. I'll probably re-read Dhampir since it's been so long.
