In the end, Allison asks Liam “And exactly what is that (your) work?” Liam tells her maybe some day when they’re old and gray with grandchildren, he’ll tell her what he does as a professional. So, the big question of exactly what Liam does is still a mystery at the end of another book. What’s your theory?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments He is a sort of FBI James Bond. A guy they send to tackle the most serious situations.

Jessica | 156 comments What Liam does for work is not the only big question about Liam. After reading the book, I still know nothing about Liam. This author is not really great at writing the male characters.

This is what I wrote in my review: Liam is a complete and total unknown. He may as well not even be in the story (except that we need him for the sex of course). Where does he come from? Does he have a family? Does he like to do anything besides work and have sex? What about past girlfriends? Is he married??!! We got no clue!

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Liam was in the last book as an Australian fixer. It wasn't clear who he worked for.

Jessica | 156 comments Ok I was just reminded that Liam comes from Australia so maybe I slept through the chapter where he was introduced.

Jessica | 156 comments Oh and he was in the last book! I don't remember that at all. Thanks Anita!

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Jessica, I totally agree. Why should Allison know anything about this guy when the reader knows next to nothing about him? He was just a sexy FBI agent who had a job with a lot of travel and seemingly no ability to keep in touch. He was charming and knew how to give orders. He was a cardboard cut-out of a hero.

I liked the "mystery" element to Liam. There was an "air" surrounding him that sometimes had me wondering "is he a good guy?" "A bad guy"? or what. It becomes obvious he's good partly because of the guys they associate him with and his actions, but you're right when you say beyond that, readers know little about Liam. I'm just a sucker for an accent so maybe I was a little more forgiving of Liam.lol

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I liked his mystery in the beginning. However, it would be nice, if the reader was told a little more about him, even if it was 70 to 75 percent into the story.

I became intrigued with Liam in the previous book. I looked forward to his story and am a little disappointed that we never learn more about him.
