Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I loved this one. Although it was mostly a romance with very little suspense, I really liked it.

My very own Australian Liam just went home after a week here. He was such a charmer for 11 months old and I can see him in the future being a heartbreaker like the fictional Liam in our story.

Jessica | 156 comments Oh yes, that's right I do remember the narrator read Liam with an Australian accent so I do know where he's from. I just complained in the last question that I know nothing about him but I guess I do know that. Still, it's not much. As a character, Liam wasn't all that interesting. But I did enjoy listening to this story.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I didn't like this story at all. With the last couple of books in the series, I've felt like I've been reading the same book over and over. The heroes seem all the same to me. Sexy FBI agents who do not want a committed relationship. They have sex with the heroine, then run out the door. The women don't hear from them until they're back for another booty-call. Suddenly around the 90% mark in the book, they realize they love the heroine. This usually happens when they are saving her from the bad guys.

Allison was the usual brainy heroine who puts up with their FBI hero's actions. These heroines are always beautiful and leave men with their tongues hanging out. Of course, these women don't really know that they are beautiful. What drove me nuts with Allison (besides hearing about her beauty) was that she allowed her aunt and uncle to walk all over her, even when she became an adult. I also thought it was ridiculous that people would call to harass her. You'd think someone with her skills as a hacker would know how to block a caller.

Jessica | 156 comments So true Robin, that's a great synopsis. But you missed something... this heroine was so beautiful that she was actually a model! LOL! That was just too much for me and it added nothing to the story.

I agree with you all. I enjoyed the story, but I can't help but see the flaws...the way each story mirrors the next with the plot line. I guess maybe Garwood found the formula that worked for her and stuck with it! She certainly made a success with it. Well, only one more book which was written in 2022...I actually read an arc of this one and reviewed it for the publisher. I'm curious to see if my feelings hold the same after reading all the previous books.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I reviewed a Wired arc in 2017 ago. I loved it a lot more before I saw all the repetition. It feels like a different book after reading the series from the beginning.

Even when I read it originally, I was disappointed that I knew so little about Liam. I could get behind Allison, but I didn't feel connected to Liam at all.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I didn't realize I missed half of the questions in the discussion. I usually keep going. Someone must have interrupted me.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree that the repartitions in plot and characters got a bit old. I never noticed them when I read the books as they were published. reading them one a month shows up the formula Garwood used. But I still love them and am so sad the next book is the last, literally.
