In the middle of the night, Samantha sneaks out of her father’s house the night before her wedding to go see Nick but is grabbed by Peter who holds her at gunpoint. He’s taken by the man Nick hired to follow Peter. What do you think might have happened to Sam if he hadn’t been there? Did you get the impression he would be given bail? Why wouldn’t he have a stiffer penalty?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Sam would have been killed. Peter is dangerous and believe if he can't have her no one can.

I'm not sure, but I don't feel he would get bail if he attempted to kill Sam again.

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments I also believe Peter would have killed Sam. I think Peter is going to be locked away finally for a very long time. No bail for him.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1801 comments I agree with Sharon and Susan.
Sam would be dead. Peter is obsessed with having her and would kill her before "letting" her marry Nick.

He has violated the restraining order and assaulted her with a weapon at the very least. I doubt he will get away with it this time.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Peter would have likely killed Sam and then himself. No bail for Peter. They can charge him with violation of the restraining order and also attempted murder and make it stick because he held a gun on her, and they can introduce the evidence that was thrown in the bombing case here. He's going away for a very long time.

Unfortunately, violation of restraining orders isn’t enough for serious jail time. We have some serious work to do in strengthening laws around predators. The lengthy sentences only come after the predator has inflicted bodily injury.

Makes no sense.
