Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Hi there, I am wondering if you can help me merge author accounts on Goodreads. Currently I have this account, K.C. Kingmaker, which has MOST of my books, but not all of them. There are a few books on a "KC Kingmaker" author account (no periods between initials), and I'm wondering if you can merge that account with this one. I'm not sure if I've claimed it already in the past or not, but I don't think I have.

This is pertinent for me right now because my newest book and preorder just went up (releasing Feb 6th, titled "Daughter of Sherwood") under the KC Kingmaker account I have no access to. I'd like to be able to update that cover, since it's showing no cover right now, and direct people to the book under this account (K.C. Kingmaker) where all my other books are filed under.

Technically, my author name is actually KC Kingmaker without the periods, but that's neither here nor there! And since K.C. Kingmaker has 4000+ ratings and is more established, I'm fine with this one being the author account in use on GR.

Hi, I moved both editions of Daughter of Sherwood to your author page. Us volunteers of this group can't merge author pages when one of them is claimed like yours is, but I've sent in a merge request to Goodreads Support. I'll let you know when they report it as done.

The reason why your Goodreads name have dots after each initial is because it's mandatory on this site. Since you have the default profile for your name, should you ever change the Amazon end of things to include the periods, the books would auto-import to your claimed profile. But moving a book that ended up in the wrong place is quick for us to do, so no problem if you chose to change nothing at all.

Could you please move Shadowblade Academy: Complete Series Box Set to my profile too please? I think that's the only other book on the KC Kingmaker profile, and once it's all on K.C. then I don't have to worry if Goodreads gets rid of the KC name either way, because it won't have any books under the name! :)

Hello again. I left it there so that Goodreads Support can see the author page they need to merge. If I move the boxset now, the author page will become invisible, which will make their task of moving the three followers on there much more difficult :)

The author page merge has now been completed by GR Support, and the boxset and the three stray followers have been added to your profile.
