Lyndol Burns Parrish (dixiebelle72) | 1 comments The two biggest things I remember is the aunt and the beginning.

In the beginning the Lord and his party of knights is on the way on horseback to a castle where he is supposed to be married by order of the king I think.

He gets there and finds out there is a plot to kill him the night before the wedding so he climbs through the window into his fiancee's bedroom and kidnaps his soon to be bride to ensure the marriage happens. The heroine convinces him to also take her aunt/cousin that just happened to be in her bedroom when he climbed through her bedroom window to kidnap her with them.

The aunt/maidservant/cousin whatever she is, is crazy as heck it turns out (I think due to being abused).

I got the ebook from Amazon and if I remember right it had a kinda plain older looking cover picture.

Two more things and I may be confusing them with another romance novel (if I am I wish to know that book name too lol). I think the heroine might have been beat by some male figure (her father, stepfather, brother, etc...?) and the aunt always took care of her afterwards. The second is
I think the aunt expects the heroine to be beat by her hubby and if I remember right becomes unhappy when the heroine isn't beat.
I remember a line where the aunt or whoever she is tells the heroine after the heroine is attacked to lay still where she can doctor and heal her back like she will always do for her.

Any help in finding this book would greatly be appreciated. Thank you for your help :)
