Soon after maddog’s unsuccessful attack on Carla Ruiz, he sets up his next one for real estate agent Jeannie Lewis. We actually experience her entire assault and murder. Were you surprised at how vulnerable she was to not only transport Vuillion to the home but to go inside with someone she didn’t know and alone? Is this typical for most agents? How awful was it to get the details of her death at maddog’s hands?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments It didn't surprise me. I did the same thing when I tried real estate. My broker rarely knew where I was. We pulled listings, and then I took the buyers around to the various houses. My niece sells real estate now, and they have different polices. The agent meets her clients at the home and her calendar/log records the houses she showing. Unfortunately, there were too many murders of agents around the country

As sick as it sounds, I like when authors take me inside the brain of the murderer. This was very gruesome, but it was realistic.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments When we bought houses in the 1970s and 80s, and again in 2004, the realtor drove us to view the listings. It seemed very normal to us then, although meeting at the property could also be arranged.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments This didn't surprise me as this is how I viewed all the houses before we bought a house in 2001.
Now when we went looking for condos with our son - we met the broker at the buildings. So glad that they have made things more safe.
