Addicted to YA discussion

Anyone looking forward to I Hope This Doesn't Find You by Ann Liang, who wrote This Time It's Real? The premise sounds interesting and a lot like but--dare I say it?!--even better than To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han.

That is not to say it WILL be better.... It just sounds better in my opinion, and I'm looking forward to it! 12 days!

I am!! I read her book If You Could See the Sun and fell in love with Ann Liang. im so ready to get my hands on it.

YES! I finally read it, and it's even better than I thought it would be. Here are just a few reasons to read it:

A. The humor
B. It being an easy read...
C. ...but still having words of beauty
D. The sweet, clean, slow-burn romance
E. Despite the book being compared to To All the Boys I've Loved Before, it being its own work of art
F. The message
G. The content being light compared to other YA novels

I just plain loved it! I borrowed it from the library because I was afraid I was getting overhyped and wouldn't like it after all, but now I am definitely getting a copy of my own. 💗

I’m not much for romance, but this book does interest me. I like that it’s a clean slow-burn though…

I loved this one so much! I fell in love with her books (and henry li ofc) after reading If You Could See the Sun and can't wait for the ones she has coming out in the future! The romance in I Hope This Doesn't Find You is so cute and sweet and I honestly liked it more than To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

I enjoyed reading this book! It was very reminiscent off To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and I can relate to the FMC. The romance was cute and just enough. I love Ann Liang’s writing style and I can’t wait for her new book!

Same! I love enemies-to-lovers relationships, and I appreciated that it was clear who the readers should root for Sadie to end up with.

I could, too! Granted, I'm not a school captain who drafts angry emails 😂 but I am a perfectionist, top student, and people-pleaser (trying to fix that last part). Part of it may just be that Ann Liang made her relatable, though--we've all felt or experienced something Sadie did at some point, and Ms. Liang made sure we could feel that.
