I look forward to reading everyone's comments. I really enjoyed this book. I'll try to remember to post my review later. Don't want to give any spoilers. 😎

The story did a good job of creating the fascination of living with the condition. Every day is new - Creating yourself from scratch every day - What an opportunity that creates! I remember 50 First Dates and Memento. Someone on GR also mentioned The Guardian being similar. So the author did a good job making a not-too-unique-premise still feel exciting and suspenseful.
The end of day deadline really ratchets up the suspense, right? I agree the twist was telegraphed, but it didn't ruin it for me. I was frustrated right along with her (as the author intended I think), caught in the trap of not knowing.
I found the setup frustrating and maybe a little contrived - would a doctor approach a patient like that? The journal as catalyst worked but also illustrated its own pitfalls.
At the end of the book I was filled with trepidation and optimism - I really hope she is right!

Before I Go to Sleep
S.J. Watson
"As I sleep, my mind will erase everything I did today. I will wake up tomorrow as I did this morning. Thinking I’m still a child. Thinking I have a whole lifetime of choice ahead of me..."
Memories define us.
So what if you lost yours every time you went to sleep?
Your name, your identity, your past, even the people you love—all forgotten overnight.
And the one person you trust may be telling you only half the story.
Welcome to Christine's life.
