This was a wonderful book sharing the creativity and collaboration that went into writing and producing Hamilton. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves this musical.

I was able to see Hamilton on Broadway a few years ago and was transfixed! I'm excited to see it again when the traveling production comes to Phoenix this summer.

There are so many stories behind the story in the book - including the inspiration for many of the lyrics and choreography.

Robin P | 5728 comments Yes, this is a terrific book for fans with all the behind-the-scenes info about creating the show, the dance, costumes, casting, outreach to school groups, etc. It includes the whole script and all the lyrics. I never thought I would like a "hip-hop" musical but I kept seeing more articles about it. I got the CD with all the lyrics and I loved it. (anyone who hasn't seen it should look at the lyrics ahead of time or you miss a lot.) I paid over $300 for a ticket to see it in Chicago when it was only there and NYC. Since then I have seen it twice on tour and several times on the Disney recording of the original cast. It even changed my whole view of hip-hop music, with how clever the lyrics were.

For anyone who enjoys audiobooks, Miranda is wonderful in the audiobook of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. He loved the book so much himself that he produced the recent movie.

Sue | 2709 comments Oh I didn't know that Miranda was involved with the audio for Aristotle and Dante! I have that on my TBR - I need to move it up!

He does it so well that I forgot it was him, he was the character. He also did the sequel.

Loved this - even knowing as much as I did - I have seen it 3 times, including one with original cast and I also have an insider connection - this book was revelatory. And just fun! The visuals in the book add such depth too.

I always love books about the creative process.
