Jenna | 1 comments Thoughts everyone?!

Alyssa Giebink | 2 comments I love the series as a whole but I didn't necessarily love this one. I'm excited to see what she does with the next ACOTAR book now that Nesta has the Starsword

Snehpreet | 7 comments I loved it, but so many POV changes were total chaos. Finally got some answers to major questions. Can't wait for the next ACOTAR book.

The Neighbourhood Suriel | 241 comments @Alyssa. I agree with you although if i compare CC to ToG or ACOTAR... it just doesn't measure up. And i think the entire fandom was waiting so much for this book that we may have hyped it up too much in ourselves? And it didn't meet expectations. I'm wondering if this is a unpopular opinion or not??

Lisa (tucos-lady) | 85 comments @The Neighbourhood Suriel. I feel the same. I didn’t really have expectations but want little I did have weren’t met. I still don’t know how I feel about it.

Mia | 2 comments I’m still not sure how I feel about CC3. Do you guys think there will be a CC4??

message 7: by Jo (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jo Kerr | 3 comments I was very disappointed in CC3.

I LOVED the ACOTAR series and CC was never as good but I had enjoyed it and was looking forward to CC3. But I felt like it didn’t read like SJM had written it, it was chaotic and many of the characters seemed to have had personality transplants.

Bryce reverted to spoilt, immature brat and I hated her. The romance between her and Hunt (which was amazing in CC2) was non-existent in CC3.

The storyline was awful - there was no peril for the main characters bc well, no one important dies and lots of characters are lifted to high positions in the houses. Oh and the pesky plot points? All sorted out way too easily.

The only positive in the whole thing for me was Ruhn and Lidia…

I was actually disappointed I’d pre-ordered it in hard copy as I only buy hard copies when I know I will re-read (I’m usually a kindle girly), and I DEFINITELY won’t be reading this again!

Alyssa Giebink | 2 comments @mia Maas hinted at four houses so four books, but what would it even be over? The storyline to be me feels complete.

@Jo I was really upset over how Ruhn treated Lidia, especially how she shared her trauma in book two, and then more of her story was shared in book three and Ruhn was not willing to listen or acknowledge it because of who she was. He gave me the ick in this book and a lot of his actions didn't sit well with me.

Personality transplant fits so well lol. But at the same time it felt like they all kept switching between what they wanted and they all just seemed so self-centered. Honestly they read like stereotypical teenagers.

And YES the little plot points had NO impact AT ALL. I just remembered how wowed i was at those moments in ACOTAR and TOG and nope it didn't feel like this book was written with much heart or thought. Things happened waayyyy to easily.

I was seriously disappointed too.

Keira Martinez | 2 comments I feel like I’m the only one who absolutely loved CC3 😂 I loved that the entire book was action-packed, I especially loved the intertwining with the ACOTAR series and wish that we got to see more involvement with Rhysand and Feyre!
Do we think there will be a 4th book though? Is there a 4th book confirmed?
I know there’s House of Many Waters left, but it just feels so done to me that I almost don’t see the point? Which makes me really sad because I truely loved this series 🙌🏽

Aluna | 2 comments Okay so I’m not reading any of these comments for fear of spoilers, but I realllyyyy hate Sarah rn for what Hunt and Ruhn are going through. This book is something

Braylon Compton | 1 comments Currently, am halfway through the first book. I can say that I am already hooked but do have some questions. I've already read ACOTAR up to ACOSF. But do feel some similarities between this series and crescent city. Is this true or am I just still in a ACOTAR slump?

Reminder that you're in the HOFAS thread and this might not be what you're looking for?
But also, I don't understand what you mean by similarities. Obviously it's written by the same author so there's going to be similarities in writing style, if that is what you mean?

Kamdyn | 3 comments Just so you know, ACOTAR and Crescent City are both written in the same 'world' so they are going to be similar. But I totally understand.
