Parable of the Sower
question
Between The Lines Book Club

I found the beginning of this book to be slow. And it didn't seem to pick up until I was about a third of the way through. At what point did it pick up for you? And how did you push yourself through to get to that point?
Honestly, it never picked up for me. I didn't like the protagonist, I didn't like the way the author used the theme of Black empowerment by portraying the Black community as violent looters. There was no hope to counteract all the destruction. And then there were many many plotholes, as you will find. All in all, I think Patable if the Sower is highly overrated.
